My carvel built boat (MV Onyx), which I owned when I lived on the island of Shapinsay in the

Orkney Isles from 1978 to 1988

It had a Lister 3 cylinder diesel engine with a top speed of 5 knots!

This was my means of travelling to work each day in Kirkwall (5 miles away) during the summer months of the year and fishing for Lobster, Crab and Pollack at the weekends
